Fourth Grade

Hello! My name is Derek Gray and I will be your son/daughter’s 4th grade teacher for the 2020-2021 academic school year. This is my fourth year at Our Lady of Victory and my 13 year teaching. My educational pursuits started at Washington Preparatory High School as I graduated in 1997 holding the title: Captain of the Basketball team. I happily moved on to LA Trade Tech becoming one of the state’s top 100 sophomores. At LATT, I refocused on education and progressed toward the collegiate arena at Morehouse College in Atlanta Georgia. At this prestigious university, I received a BA in Health and Physical Education in 2003. I then went on to further my education at Loyola Marymount University and obtained a Master’s degree in Child Adolescent Literacy in 2007.
