Our Lady of Victory Curriculum in Compton, CA



Our Lady of Victory Catholic School consists of Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten through 8th grade. The curriculum stresses a fundamental educational program integrated with the Catholic/Christian philosophy and values. Our curriculum meets the content standards set forth by California State Board of Education.

Our academic program emphasizes language arts: reading, writing, speaking and thinking skills and is integrated in all areas of the curriculum. Our math program emphasizes thinking, computation, and problem solving skills and experience based-learning.

Students receive instruction in the following areas:

K-5th Grade

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School enables the curious minds of young learners to grow, expand and be molded by our academically qualified teachers. The teachers encourage questions, create space for discussion and give expert instruction in all subject matters. We uphold and identify that each child is unique. Therefore, we strive to hold to the gifts and talents each learner has while expanding their field of experience to try new things and be open to different challenges. It is in these formative years that each learner will be shaped into who they could ultimately become in the future. 6th-8th Grade

Middle School for many is confusing and challenging. New discoveries and new obstacles need to be overcome, all the while maintaining academic excellence and being a part of the school culture. At Our Lady of Victory Catholic School we strive to connect and relate to each of the learners in this time of their life, giving counsel and guidance when needed, while encouraging them to achieve greatness in their school career. Our Lady of Victory Catholic School will walk with you and your child every step of the way.

Our school is accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). The review of the school by these organizations assures that our education program maintains high standards and are continuously improving. We mustapply for reaffirmation of our accreditations every few years, depending upon our most recent evaluation.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

The Western region covers institutions in California and Hawaii, the territories of Guam, American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, the Pacific Basin, and East Asia, and areas of the Pacific and East Asia where American/International schools or colleges may apply to it for service.

Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA)

The Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) is a private educational accrediting agency established under the auspices of the Bishops of the Catholic (Arch) Dioceses of California. The mission of WCEA is to promote quality Catholic education for students in our member elementary and secondary schools through an accrediting process that assures the primacy of faith formation and educational excellence.


Student Council

Student council members are our governing student body team that assist the principal and faculty with planning and leading activities. They are represented by students from grades 6 thru 8. Student council is responsible for all student body initiatives including Red Ribbon Week, Thanksgiving Meal, Adopt a Family, Catholic Schools Week, and Victory Day.

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is happy to announce the follow 2024 Summer Programs, which will be offered from July 1st-July 26th (no school on July 4th & 5th)

Morning Care: 7:30am-9:00am

Summer School (Academics): 9:00am-12:00pm

Summer Camp:12:30-4:00pm
