About Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in Compton, California

Principal’s Message

Dear Families of Our Lady of Victory School,

With immense gratitude and a deep sense of privilege, I humbly introduce myself as the new principal of Our Lady of Victory. It is an honor to become part of this faith-filled community, where the values of love, compassion, and faith are at the core of our educational journey.

First and foremost, I would like to express my unwavering commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our students. I firmly believe that education goes beyond academics; it is about fostering a strong foundation of faith, character, and moral values that will guide our students throughout their lives.

As a faith-filled principal, my vision for Our Lady of Victory School is to continue to create an environment that not only nurtures academic excellence but also allows students to deepen their relationship with God, embrace their spiritual journey, and embody the principles of our faith. I am dedicated to creating opportunities for prayer, reflection, and service, fostering a community of kindness, and empowering students to live out their faith in their daily lives.

Collaboration is key to achieving our goals, and I am eager to work closely with each student and their family. Our parents are our valued partners in this endeavor. I recognize and respect the role you play as the primary educator of your children. Together, we will work hand in hand to instill strong moral values, provide a faith-filled education, and prepare our students to be compassionate and socially responsible individuals who positively impact the world.

As we embark on this new chapter together, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Let us create a vibrant and dynamic community where faith flourishes, knowledge grows, and hearts are filled with love. I am committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment that values the dignity of each person.

I am humbled and honored to serve as your principal, and I look forward to getting to know each one of you personally. I am here to serve our school community in the best possible way.

May God’s blessings be upon us all as we embark on this educational journey.

With gratitude and faith,

Vision Statement

To build a strong foundation for the students’ spiritual growth and character development.

Individual Purpose

We believe that each learner is given a purpose, and we wish to see holistic development of the tools they need to fulfill their purpose.

Academically Excellent

Because of the Catholic Framework in education, this drives us as a school to present the very best opportunities to our learners to develop their abilities to a place of excellence. Academic excellence shifts perspective from achieving for myself to achieving for the glory of God.

Socially Responsible

Religion does not operate in isolation. In fact, we are driven to live social lives not only in church but as examples within the community around us. We acknowledge the unique nature of each person and do not tolerate discriminatory actions in any manner. Our learners are called to be socially responsible when it comes to their treatment of others in the community around them.

Statement of Faith

This is a breakdown of what we as Our Lady of Victory School believe;

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God from God, Light from Light, true God, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us men for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man.
Was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures.
Derived from the Nicene Creed, in 325 AD.
